HVAC stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
Many people choose to enter the HVAC field because it offers good job security and good pay.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that HVAC Engineers / technicians will have a 14 percent job growth between 2016 and 2026. That’s much faster than the average for all occupations.
As an HVAC technician, you would install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You would also be responsible for making sure that these systems operate efficiently and safely.
To become an HVAC Engineer / technician, you need to have a high school diploma or equivalent. You will also need to complete an HVAC training program.
Many community colleges and technical schools offer these programs.
Some programs may take as little as six months to complete, while others may take up to two years. Once you have completed your training, you will need to get a license from your state.
If you are interested in a career in HVAC, then you should definitely learn about HVAC systems.
HVAC technicians have good job security and can earn a good wage. With the right training, you can become an HVAC technician and start your career in this growing field.
